Research Presented at ESHRE 2024

The 2024 ESHRE Annual Meeting took place in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, from the 8th to the 10th of this month. Fertsy and the reproductive center of Nanjing Drum Tower Hospital presented findings from their collaborative study.

The study used Fertsy’s AI embryo image analysis platform. It examined developmental features during the blastocyst stage and their relationship with transfer outcomes.

The findings identified two dynamic features associated with embryo outcomes. One was blastocyst diameter expansion rate, calculated as diameter change divided by expansion time. The other was the frequency of small spontaneous collapses. Both may serve as new quantitative features for assessing blastocyst quality.

International Exchange and Collaboration

Fertsy and the fertility center of Nanjing Drum Tower Hospital both sent representatives to the event. They exchanged ideas with experts from several countries.

More experts are recognizing the value of expansion rate as a dynamic feature. A report from Spain’s IVIMRA fertility center discussed the same indicator. It found a significant relationship with embryo ploidy and live birth rate.

These measurable features also demonstrate the value of interpretable artificial intelligence in assisted reproduction.

As AI technology develops and gains wider clinical use, embryologists may uncover more underlying patterns. These patterns could support better outcome prediction and embryo selection.

Connecting with the Global ART Community

A large industry exhibition took place alongside the annual meeting. It brought together companies, institutions, and users from the global assisted reproduction sector. The exhibition gave us an important view of the global market. We believe Fertsy’s innovative products can reach more international users through this platform.
