Hosted by Jiangsu Medical Association and its Reproductive Medicine Branch, and organized by Nanjing Maternal and Child Health Hospital, the 7th Reproductive Medicine Academic Conference of Jiangsu Medical Association was grandly held in Nanjing from May 24 to 26, 2024. The conference invited numerous well-known domestic experts and scholars to give academic presentations, with multiple parallel sessions including Clinical, IVF Clinical Thinking Youth Forum, Laboratory and General, and Young Scholar Exchange, featuring brilliant academic exchanges on hot topics and challenges in the reproductive field.

The Obstetrics and Reproductive Medicine Center of Nanjing Drum Tower Hospital, affiliated with Nanjing University Medical School, was invited to present at this annual meeting the results of a joint research project with our company: "A Clinical Study on Automatic Prediction of Pregnancy Outcomes of Fresh Cycle Single Blastocyst Transfer Using an Artificial Intelligence Model Based on Day 5 Interpretable Developmental Parameters." This study addressed the limitations of Day 5 morphological evaluation criteria in actual embryo assessment processes, utilizing time-lapse imaging and our proprietary AI platform to analyze and detect phenomena such as spontaneous collapse and expansion of blastocysts, and predicted blastocyst transfer outcomes based on quantified measurements and machine learning algorithms. Compared with traditional manual morphological assessment, the new model showed significantly improved predictive performance. This research has considerable potential clinical value in enhancing blastocyst assessment efficacy and further increasing the success rate of single blastocyst transfer.
